Yes. Upload your song (MP3, WAV or M4A, up to 50 MB) to FrameSurfer's Music to video page. It transcribes your lyrics with word timing, plans scenes that change with the lyric lines, makes the pictures and AI clips, and renders an MP4 with your song as the soundtrack. You can add up to 3 photos of the artist and a short description of what the video should show.

If you want an AI singer whose lips move with your vocals, use HeyGen's music video generator instead. For abstract, painterly visuals, Kaiber is a common choice. Facts checked October 22, 2026.

How FrameSurfer turns your song into a video

  1. Sign in and open Music to video.
  2. Upload the song. FrameSurfer uses the first 3 minutes.
  3. Optional: add up to 3 photos of the artist, and describe the story or look you want, for example "a road trip at night, neon city, 80s film look".
  4. Pick the format (9:16, 16:9 or 1:1), the video model and the resolution.
  5. FrameSurfer listens to the lyrics, writes a scene for each line or phrase, makes the scenes and renders the video. No chat is needed.
  6. Download the MP4, or open it in the editor to trim scenes, change transitions or add text.

Why the scenes follow your song

Most "music video" tools cut on the beat. FrameSurfer cuts on your words. Because it knows when each lyric is sung, a scene about "the city lights" appears while you sing that line. The song itself is never changed or re-recorded: it plays exactly as you uploaded it, and nobody speaks over it.

Tips for a better AI music video

  • Describe one world, not ten. "A lonely astronaut on a red planet" holds together better than a list of unrelated ideas.
  • Add artist photos if you want the singer to appear. Clear, front-facing photos work best.
  • Pick the format for where you post: 9:16 for TikTok, Reels and Shorts, 16:9 for YouTube.
  • Release a short cut first. Post the chorus as a 30-second clip, then the full video.

Limits to know

  • Only the first 3 minutes of the song are used.
  • There is no lip sync. The video shows scenes, not a performance.
  • Making AI clips uses credits from a paid plan. The free trial does not include AI video.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can AI make a music video from my own song?

Yes. Tools like FrameSurfer, HeyGen and Kaiber take your audio file and generate the visuals. FrameSurfer times its scenes to your lyrics. HeyGen adds a singer with lip sync.

Does FrameSurfer change or remix my song?

No. Your song is the soundtrack, exactly as uploaded.

What if my song has no lyrics?

It still works. When no words are heard, FrameSurfer treats the song as an instrumental, so describe the scenes you want in the description box.

Can I post the video on YouTube and Spotify Canvas?

You get a normal MP4. Export 16:9 for YouTube and 9:16 for vertical platforms. Check each platform's own size rules before uploading.
