Questions

Does trimming lower the quality?

No. The trimmer uses FFmpeg copy mode, which cuts the file without re-encoding it. The picture and sound stay as they were, and the work happens in your browser, so nothing is uploaded.

What format do I get back?

The same format as your original. The new file keeps the original extension and adds _trimmed to the name.

Can I move the whole selection?

Yes. Drag the shaded area between the handles to slide the selection along the timeline. You can also click the timeline to move the playhead. When you drag the handles, they stay at least half a second apart.

What are the limits?

You trim one video at a time, up to 2 GB. If trimming fails, the video codec may not support copy-mode trimming, so try a different file.
