Questions

Is my video uploaded?

No. The conversion runs with FFmpeg inside your browser, so the video never leaves your device.

Does it convert the whole video?

Yes. Each video is converted from start to end. To make a short GIF, cut your clip first with the free Video Trimmer, then convert the trimmed file.

How do I keep the GIF small?

Pick a smaller width and a lower frame rate. Small at Compact (5 fps) gives the lightest file of the presets. The height follows the width, so your video keeps its shape.

What are the limits, and does the GIF loop?

Each video can be up to 500 MB. The GIF loops forever. The tool first builds a color palette from your own video, which helps the colors look closer to the original.
